It's an El Nino Winter

It would be hard to believe that this past winter was an absolute frigid one.  But from -20C to +10C is the reality that has arrived, also known as spring.  And with it another end to the season.

Cold, But Not Too Harsh. Ya RIGHT!

Here at we look Canadian Winters in the face and dare them to dump on us large mountains of snow.

And this season it delivered!  (careful what you wish for  :)

The 2014-15 Canada Winter forecast should have also read, "Harsh, and very cold".  With weeks of -20C or even lower in certain areas, it's cold enough to break sledding equipment and freeze Niagara Falls.

Fortunately it also brought along with it a ton of snow.  So enough complaining about the cold, let's get out there and explore some new hills and share them on the map while you're at it.

2014 Winter Forecast

Last year’s winter was colder then an ice cube in your freezer.  Which brought tons of snow, but -20C days scared most people off the hills.

This winter though should bring a good balance of snow and slightly warmer days to better enjoy the hills.

We also missed a white Christmas by only 24 hours last winter.  With that said, it’s not too early for inspecting your snow gear and being prepared.
