Tobogganing with The Globe and Mail

Re: Tobogganing with The Globe and Mail

The article refers to tobogganing tips....

Here's a few tips I came up with this past week after tobogganing in Mississauga for 3 consecutive days. I especially noticed it was the Dad's who really need to wake up!

1.) Make sure your kid is dressed properly as it's windy up there....
- Saw many kids with no gloves or hats and it must have been -20C at least with the windchill.

2.) Do not put your young child/toddler on a sled without a helmet and whip them down the hill with no adult on board.
- Saw many a Dad's think nothing of sending their 3 year olds down a hill with a three star rating.

3.) Do not take your infant tobogganing!
- Saw one Dad who was actually being encouraged by his friend to take this 6 month old baby with no helmet down a bumpy 3 star slope run. I suggested he re-think this choice to which he then agreed! phew!

HAPPY TOBOGGANING PEOPLE!
